LEADher

The LEADher project is dedicated to empowering migrant women across Europe by reducing barriers in employment, digital inclusion, and civic engagement. The initiative focuses not only on integration but also on fostering female leadership, bringing together the expertise of 16 partners from 11 EU countries. The project is co-funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF).

Planned budget – 413 355 EUR

U-PLAYS - Ukrainian Participation in Language, Athletics, and Youth Support

The U-PLAYS project provides support for the integration of Ukrainian youth through sports, employability training, and language learning. In line with the objectives of the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), the initiative addresses the social consequences of Russia’s war against Ukraine by promoting social inclusion and strengthening community ties.

The project activities are designed to help young people not only acquire essential skills for the labor market but also to reduce isolation through sports team dynamics and by overcoming language barriers.

Budget (as partner): 212 979 EUR

Language, sport and career opportunities for young Ukrainians in Latvia

Within the framework of the project, every Saturday, all Ukrainian youth (aged 12 to 25) have the opportunity to participate in free events. The initiative “Language, Sports, and Career Opportunities for Ukrainian Youth in Latvia” combines sporting activities with educational sessions, promoting physical well-being and a more successful integration into the local labor market and society.

Budget – 89 835 EUR

Summer camps for Ukrainian children

To provide psycho-emotional support and promote social inclusion, a project was implemented: summer camps for Ukrainian refugee children. The goal of the camps was to provide children with a safe and creative environment where they could recover from the stress of war, learn new skills, and integrate into Latvian society by building friendships with local peers.

Budget – 16 100 EUR

Sports and recreation camps for children

Over the course of two years, a large-scale project was implemented with the aim of providing active recreation and meaningful leisure activities for children and youth in Riga. Within the framework of the project, a wide variety of sporting activities and creative workshops were organized, promoting a healthy lifestyle and social integration.

In total, 33 camps were organized, with 1,112 children participating.

Budget – 205 720 EUR

Football tournaments for children

The goal of the project was to promote football as an accessible and exciting sport for every child. The organized tournaments provided an opportunity for young talents to gain their first competitive experience in a positive environment, where the primary emphasis was placed on participation, fair play, and a love for sports.

The project was funded by the Latvian Football Federation (LFF) and UEFA Grassroots.

Budget – 28 250 EUR

Free sports days for families

Within the framework of the project, a series of events was organized to promote active and healthy leisure activities for families in Riga. The Sports Days provided an opportunity for participants of different generations to join in sporting activities together, strengthening family bonds and community spirit in a safe and energetic environment.

The project was funded by the Riga City Council.

Budget – 18 000 EUR

Fellowship Saturdays at Playoff Arena

The “Fellowship Saturdays” project was created as an open and inclusive platform to promote interaction and social integration among various groups within society. Through shared sporting activities and meaningful engagement at the Playoff Arena premises, participants had the opportunity to strengthen community ties and build new friendships in a positive atmosphere.

The project was funded by the Society Integration Fund.

Budget – 39 745 EUR

Free sports classes for Ukrainian refugees

This project was established as a support mechanism for the Ukrainian refugee community in Latvia, providing free access to sports infrastructure every Saturday evening. The availability of gyms and sports fields helped reduce social isolation, improve participants' physical and mental health, and provided an opportunity for community members to meet regularly and support one another in an athletic atmosphere.

The project was funded by the Latvian Football Federation (LFF) and UEFA Foundation for Children.

Budget – 38 804 EUR
