The Friendship Mondays 2025 project has finished
Within the framework of the program "Cultural Orientation Courses and Inclusion Measures for Ukrainian Civilians," we have concluded the project "Fellowship Mondays." It has left a significant and positive impact on both the Ukrainian civilians who have arrived in Latvia as refugees and the local community. From September to December, every Monday evening, free cultural orientation and inclusion events were held at the entertainment and football hall, Lidl Arena. Participants gained valuable knowledge about Latvian culture, social processes, and daily life. Through lectures, discussions, workshops, quizzes, and excursions, the project fostered open dialogue, the exchange of experiences, and a stronger sense of belonging, confirming that all set objectives have been successfully achieved.

An integral part of the project’s success was the physically active sessions—including football training, fitness classes, relay races, games, and boxing lessons—which brought together participants of various ages and fitness levels while fostering mutual cooperation. We would like to express our special gratitude to the Association of Memorial Museums for their professional and inspiring collaboration during the project. The museum tours and cultural content significantly enriched the program and strengthened the bond between participants and the Latvian cultural space. "Fellowship Mondays" proved that combining cultural exploration with sports is an effective path toward a cohesive and inclusive society.
