In June, youth experts from Latvia, Austria and Slovakia met in Riga to discuss the UPLAYS project, which promotes the integration of young Ukrainians through sport, language learning and skills development. At the end of the visit, the participants visited Lidl Arena and got to know Latvian culture.

The series of events, which will take place on Monday evenings at Lidl Arena from September to December 2025, will promote mutual understanding and friendship between Ukrainian civilians and the local community. Free cultural orientation sessions and inclusive sports activities will provide practical knowledge about life in Latvia, create dialogue, the joy of movement and a sense of belonging in a safe, open environment.
Join the fun of children's football in a tournament that will take place in four rounds at Lidl Arena in autumn 2025! The tournament is for U-6 to U-11 age groups and all games will be played in a fun 3 vs 3 format. The main goal is development, fun and cooperation!
On 13-14 May 2025, we participated in the launch meeting of the ESF+ Social Innovation Programme in Warsaw. We gained new ideas and contacts for the development of the UPLAYS project.
UPLAYS is an international project supporting the integration of young Ukrainians in Austria, Latvia and Slovakia. It offers 50 sports activities, 50 language classes and 50 job skills workshops to promote skills, confidence and belonging.

Latvijas komanda izcīnīja uzvaru 2024. gada Unity Euro Cup turnīrā Šveicē, pārspējot 15 citas Eiropas valstis un apliecinot futbola spēku apvienot cilvēkus. Komandu veidoja Ukrainas bēgļi un vietējie spēlētāji, un tās dalību organizēja LFF sadarbībā ar “Lidl Arena”. 2025. gadā turnīrs norisināsies Nīderlandē, turpinot tradīciju veicināt iekļaušanu un vienotību caur sportu.
Šī sirsnīgā vizīte kļuva par īpašu piedzīvojumu – ar smaidiem, atklājumiem un siltām draudzībām, kas pāri robežām satuvināja bērnus un jauniešus no Ukrainas ar Latviju.
Nometnēs valdīja smiekli, draudzība un piedzīvojumu gars – bērni baudīja katru mirkli, atklāja ko jaunu un vienkārši ļāvās priekam!
Piecpadsmit nedēļu garumā sporta entuziasti baudīja draudzīgu sacensību garu un aktīvu atpūtu.
