2025 has been a year of powerful sporting celebrations for Mini-pitch! A total of 2,591 young footballers took to the pitch in our 3-on-3 and 4-on-4 football tournaments, while the popular sports event “Joy of Movement” brought together a further 595 enthusiasts of an active lifestyle. Thank you everyone for your participation and energy!
As part of the project "Commonwealth Mondays", free cultural orientation and inclusion events for Ukrainian civilians took place at Lidl Arena from September to December. Cultural activities and sports promoted mutual cooperation, a sense of belonging and successful integration into Latvian society.
During the autumn and winter, a series of four 3-on-3 children's football tournaments took place, bringing together young footballers aged 5-11 years old, offering regular matches, active engagement and positive football experiences.
From 3 September to 10 December, the Open Ground took place on Wednesday evenings, offering football enthusiasts an active and friendly sporting opportunity with family and friends.

This autumn, we invite all dads, mums and kids to celebrate Father's Day in an active and fun way - by taking part in our big family sports and exercise festival!

On 19 July 2025, we were delighted to launch the UPLAYS - Supporting Ukraine's Youth in Latvia project by holding our first meeting with the children and young people who will become participants of this initiative.
Open Wednesdays at Lidl Arena - a sporty and fun evening for the whole family every Wednesday from 3 September to 10 December, 20:00-23:00. Take part in football, soccer golf, football bowling or a planking challenge and enjoy free games.
In June, youth experts from Latvia, Austria and Slovakia met in Riga to discuss the UPLAYS project, which promotes the integration of young Ukrainians through sport, language learning and skills development. At the end of the visit, the participants visited Lidl Arena and got to know Latvian culture.
